It’s that time of the year again!❤️

I have three beautiful daughters and every single one has focused on dance. Every June the hectic time of recital hits and hits hard. We spend all this time and money for this one weekend to show us what we as parents have been paying for all year. This is when the parents get to see what our kids have been doing all year behind those closed doors of the studio. We also get to see what those really expensive costumes will look like on stage. When the kids get up on stage we forget about all the money and time but focus on how proud we r of our children who go up on stage and do what I could never do because I was a chicken. As a child I had terrible stage fright, I practically blacked out when giving an oral exam in front of my friends and fellow students. Now as an adult I don’t shut up!😬 Here I go rambling, back on track. Well out of my three daughters 2 have graduated and moved on, no more dance,😢. I have one left and she’s getting closer and closer to being done, at 16 she really doesn’t know what her future holds for her but whether it’s dance or something else it will be her choice to make. So 2 years from now after my baby girl gets her diploma I will be happy but so so sad. I will no longer be dance poor and I will no longer be scared to open my bill from the dance studio to see what my balance is and I will no longer be adding to my rediculous amount of over priced costumes to my basement closet. I know some of u will think this would be reasons to do cartwheels and scream from the mountain tops but to me it will be a sad time. So for the next 2 years I will support my daughter to do what she loves and watch her grow as a dancer and make wonderful friends while doing what she loves. I will be a poor dance mom but it has always been worth it year after year to see all my girls smile and shine on stage. So to all those dance moms and dads enjoy this time and cherish watching that long recital and paying for those costumes because before u know it they r grown and gone to start their own lives. Deep, huh!! HERES TO BEING DANCE POOR!!
